Northshore Recovery High School student panel

Launched in Fall 2006, the Beverly-based Northshore Recovery High School (NSRHS) is one of three schools in Massachusetts that meets the needs of high school students who have had a history of substance abuse but who have made a firm commitment to recovery. NSRHS provides students a school environment free from the culture of drugs and alcohol. Under the direction of Michelle Lipinski and with the support of seven staff, the 40 or so students bond and support each other while taking classes and attending group and individual therapy.

The students’ stories, challenges and successes will be shared at the conference luncheon during a panel facilitated by Lipinski, the school’s founding director. Attendees will also hear about what a difference the school has made in their lives and what they yearn for in the future.
